Google Trends Indicates Obsession With Financials/Economy

I just took a look at what's going on over at Google Trends, which tracks the hottest search queries out there at any given moment. Here's the top 20 as of the time I'm writing this:

1. kdka
2. lehman brothers
3. school closings
4. merrill lynch
5. wpxi
6. north allegheny school district
7. aig
8. fox 8 cleveland
9. myfoxcleveland.com
10. lehman employees
11. chapter 11 bankruptcy
12. financial news
13. jennifer hudson and david otunga
14. news 10 now
15. wfmj
16. aig news
17. lehman bros
18. 10tv.com
19. pickerington local schools
20. george takei
21. pine richland school district
22. school delays
23. meryl lynch
24. nbc4i
25. lehman bankrupt

I think it's safe to say Main Street is seriously freaked by Wall Street, which could make for a buying opportunity within the next few days. For now, I'm holding my horses until 1) Goldman Sachs reports and 2) We find out more about AIG.
